We hung Lily’s special quilt in our living room next to our front door. While this is not the usual place to put a baby quilt we thought the quilt was too wonderful to be hidden away in a room that no one spends time in or a closet.

Some Bunny Special

These two poems are on the back of Lily’s special quilt. This is one of the things my Mother-in-law is known for.

We thought it was really neat that she put 4 butterflies surrounding the poems as my Aunt sent Lily four butterflies for Christmas and we had just hung them above her pack and play.

This is the bottom left corner of Lily’s special quilt.

My wonderful Mother-in-law put so much time into the little details and this square has a lot of detail. I think it is just too cute.

This is the left middle square of Lily’s special quilt. It is another square that I think all of the grandkids get.

This is my favorite square. I just love the hippo and think it’s too cute.

“Leapin for Joy… Havin a Hoppy Day!”

This is the bottom right square of Lily special quilt. It says “Smell the flowers along the way…” and I really hope Lily takes that to heart. Stopping to enjoy the moment is so important and overlooked in our culture.

This is the middle right square of Lily’s special quilt. I believe Rita told me that all the grandkid’s quilts share a few features and this boy is one of them.
