Another first for me.

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

What is your favorite lip product?

I am helplessly addicted to lip balm, I have them all over the place.  I have 3 at my computer desk, 2 in the diaper bag, 1 in the bedroom and a couple in the bathroom.  In the winter I have 1 in the car.  I even always had one on my keyboard at my old job.

I am very picky about my lip balm though.  I love the original Burt’s Bees, and really like Lush’s Lip serivce once I got used to it.  I like using Lansinoh linolan for when I’m asleep or if I somehow get chapped lips.  I’m trying out a couple of organice balms but I’m not convienced about them yet.

It’s Thursday so that means it’s time to update Lily’s weight.  Lily now weighs 8lbs 15.9 oz!  That’s a 3 ounce gain this week.

In the past 7 days Lily has had 5 ounces of formula and 1 ounce of applejuice.  She refused to take her 1 oz of formula last night.  We are not going to give her any formula this week and see how she’s doing at next Thursday’s weigh in.

Lily really impressed some of the other Mom’s today by showing off her standing ability.  I have to hold her of course, but she loves it.

And because I can’t have a post about Lily (or anything really) and not include a picture.  I give you…

Today while I was trying to get some pictures while Lily had some tummy time on my bed she did an amazing thing.

You wanted to be picked up and got mad that I wanted just one more picture, so you showed me.  You turned over!!  So I put back on your tummy and clapped.  Yay Lily!!!  And then

Lily,

You are growing up so fast I can’t believe it.  Please slow down.  😉

The biggest change this month is that you love to stand up, with support of course.  Your head stays up a lot but you are still a bobble head.  Its very cute.  You have much longer periods of being awake now and you don’t have to always be nursing now.  Don’t get me wrong you still nurse a lot and I love it.  You’ve also started drooling.  It seems like most of the drooling occures in the afternoon and evening.  I don’t know what to make of it.

You still amaze me every day and I’m so glad I get to be your Mom.
