Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. I like the idea, therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

When you go out to eat with your sweetie do you both sit on the same side of the table or opposite side?

This is a big annoyance for my Hubby.  He feels (and luckly I agree) that you should sit opposite to you dinner date.  His logic makes sense to me.  If you sit on the opposite side you can talk face to face.  You can still play footsie, hold hands and even gaze lovingly into each others eyes.  If you sit on the same side you have to turn you head to talk or gaze.

Obviously we sit opposite each other.

  1. We sit opposite each other.

But we used to sometimes sit on the same side back in our “dating days.”

Now, we usually have a toddler or baby “in between” us…oh, how things change post-baby. 🙂

  2. Well it depends. I personally like to sit opposite, to gaze at him, smile, wink, read his face, etc. But there are times we like to sit by each other too. So we can sneak kisses and whisper sweet nothings, etc.

I asked Hubby and he basically said the above. I suppose I really follow his lead. He says when it is a fast food place/joint, he like to sit opposite, informal setting.

But a nice restaurant, a formal setting, or a more romantic place, he likes to sit side by side. The kissing, sweet nothings, stuff. Will it ever end? This is our 16th year anniversary next month and sometimes it seems just like yesterday was our wedding day!! I know it is a good thing. I love it and I do love him!!

I don’t want our time together to end, ever. I have married him for all time and eternity and I am fine with that. He isn’t perfect like me, but he is getting better everyday!!! heeeeee heeee hee!!!

Take care, and thanks for a wonderful question!!!

  3. We used to sit next to each other too but now we sit opposite. 🙂 I’d say it would be nice to sit next to each other in a crowded, loud surrounding, but in a nice formal place sitting opposite is best. 🙂 They should make tables smaller though… 😉

I totally forgot that you’re supposed to put one of those Loyal Commenters buttons in your sidebar from 5 minutes for mom! 🙂 Did I tell you to do it or did you figure it out? 🙂
